It hasn't burned yet.
You are not the only person in the world who don't want to see it burn.
We will get through this.
I know it's very easy to feel alone right now, but we're not. At a bare minimum, half the country is sane.
There's nothing wrong with being afraid, or angry. Those things can give you DETERMINATION.
And then you get a save point
And your heart re-fuses.
Trump is a lazy coward. He's not going to find things as easy as he imagines.
The
GOP is held together with chewing gum and bullshit. The more they try
to do, the more everyone in it will argue and claw at each other. Three
branches of government or no, this is no unified resistance. It's more like a schoolyard full of bullies.
But we can be unified. We can help each other, cheer each other, support each other, make each other smile. And everything I've read since the election tells me liberals are more determined to do all those things than ever.
This, more than anything, gives me hope. Hope, more than anything, is what the racists and authoritarians don't have. They do not have each other.
We do.
We will get through this.
